Liyla and The Shadows of War is a new and incredibly beautiful game with a very sad story by Rashid Abueideh, an independent game developer, for Android. It was released a few hours ago as 100% free on the market, and as always, we decided to introduce it to you, fans of unique Android games, to support this developer! This game is about a girl living in the Gaza Strip and has won the “Best Visual Design” award in the independent games section at the Reboot Develop 2016 conference! You play as Liyla’s father and embark on a very sad adventure in Palestine to save your innocent family and ultimately achieve your goal! Interestingly, there have been posts on foreign sites titled “Apple Did Not Accept Liyla and The Shadows of War in the App Store,” discussing the game’s absence from the iTunes market (iPhone). Apparently, the App Store does not consider this a game at all, and even more interesting is that the age rating for this game on Google Play is 18+. If you are a fan of LIMBO-style games that combine entertaining gameplay with a sad story, don’t miss Liyla and The Shadows of War!

At the very least, Google should be appreciated for including this game in its market, while iTunes deserves strong criticism! Apple is a company that stood up to the FBI’s demands for months and clearly stated that its users’ rights are more important than the U.S. government’s requests. However, when political issues arise, the company seems to forget everything and even pressures game designers and producers in such cases. Imagine, there are currently thousands of games and apps in the App Store where you play as soldiers of superpower countries attacking other nations, and in most of them, you eliminate terrorists! At DroidCove, to support this developer, we are introducing the game to you, which you can download for free! The game is offered by the developer as 100% free and requires no permissions such as internet access or reading data for installation and execution. We recommend all users install and try the game to support the developer.
