Along the way, another woman’s voice is heard through speakers, talking to her. According to this unknown woman’s words, Rose was likely brought to this place by her. Everything seems complicated and strange, and nothing in this cursed place is natural. Now you must, as the main character, explore this frightening place resembling a huge mansion, investigate its various sections, solve puzzles, and find clues to move toward the truth. But you are not alone in this sinister place. Strange demons resembling terrifying mannequins roam here. Although initially they appear motionless and lie on the ground or around like crime scene victims, remember nothing here is natural, so prepare yourself for anything. - In Forgotten Memories, the game does not save automatically! You must find checkpoints within the game and manually save your progress.
- Before starting, you can set the difficulty level to Easy, Normal, or Hard. Except for Easy, the other two levels include specific challenges. The most important challenges are flashlight battery depletion (battery does not run out on Easy) and fewer checkpoints for saving. These challenges peak in Hard mode. Also, enemy behavior becomes smarter in Normal and Hard modes.
