FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered is the eighth official game in the FINAL FANTASY franchise, a product of the renowned Japanese company SQUARE ENIX Co., Ltd. Released following previous installments available on Android devices, the Final Fantasy series has always been among the more expensive mobile games, and this title is no exception. The eighth installment is sold on Google Play for $20.99, but DroidCove, as always, offers this title purchased and free of charge. As the name suggests, this game is not just a mobile version of Final Fantasy VIII but a fully remastered edition. The most significant change compared to the original version is the graphical texture overhaul and new modeling, resulting in much more detailed graphics, even surpassing the original 1999 PC release. It should be noted that this game has also been released for PC besides Android.

In FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered, once again, you step into the exciting fantasy world of Final Fantasy. The story takes place in the well-known land of Galbadia. This land is under the control of a sorceress named Edea, who has assembled a large army intending to invade other nations and conquer them. Therefore, a group of fighters known as SeeD, along with the resistance hero Rinoa, collaborate to stop Edea and her army and prevent her from achieving her evil goals. Because the enemy army is vast, as the resistance group, you must use various methods to combat them, one of which is gathering creatures called Guardian Forces. Throughout the game, you will encounter and interact with various characters from the Final Fantasy world. FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered is a third-person RPG. The models and graphics are fully 3D designed, and just like in the original game, you can control characters using virtual buttons on the Android version. The developer notes that due to the game’s size, you should have at least about 2.60 GB of free space on your Android device for proper installation and smooth gameplay.
