Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is a unique and captivating artistic work adapted from the short horror stories of the famous author Howard Phillips Lovecraft, presented as a role-playing and action game with pixel and retro-style designs. It was produced at a price of $9.99 and initially released by the game company Blini Games through the Steam store for the PC platform. After a few months, a ported version for Android phones and tablets was also developed. We decided to introduce this game along with its modded version as soon as it was released on Google Play. Mr. Lovecraft is one of the famous writers in English literature, known for his unique and terrifying stories. Previously, we published another game based on one of his famous stories called HP Lovecraft: Pickman’s Model, which presented a mysterious and dark story in the form of a short game. In this article, we explore another game, a different title. Lovecraft’s Untold Stories interestingly combines several of Lovecraft’s short stories and narrates them in an engaging way. Essentially, this game merges several different stories into a multi-purpose adventure. In Untold Stories, you enter a fictional world full of monsters and mythical creatures, playing as several different characters and following separate stories.
A special feature of Lovecraft’s Untold Stories that makes it an amazing work is that each time you play, the events, incidents, and a random location are selected for you, and according to the developers, each playthrough will be different from the previous one. In Untold Stories, there are 5 main characters including a private detective, a wizard, a thief, a professor, and a giant, which you can choose before starting the game. Each character has their own special abilities and, of course, a unique story. After selecting your character, you can enter the game and start from an unknown area. During Lovecraft’s Untold Stories, your task is to battle many monsters and evil creatures, find various items, uncover hidden secrets of the game, and ultimately follow each character’s story. The characters and locations in the game are all based on elements from the books and stories of H.P. Lovecraft. The main antagonists you must find and defeat during the story include characters like Great Cthulhu, Nyarlathotep, Dagon, Shub-Niggurath, and Azathoth. The game features a combat system that allows you to engage and destroy enemies using the unique style of each character. It is worth mentioning that Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is available in both free and paid versions.
