The game tells the story of a large, old manor called Castlewood that has been abandoned and empty for years. You play as a detective named Carl who has come to this place to discover the hidden secrets of the area, especially the manor. Upon entering the manor, you sense a supernatural presence and see a ghost that seems directly connected to the mysterious past of the mansion. Throughout Manor Matters, you must follow the story by discovering game secrets through finding items and solving puzzles. As you progress in the story, you also need to restore various parts of the manor and bring it out of its scary and abandoned state. The overall gameplay, graphic designs, style, mini-games, and puzzles are clearly inspired by Homescapes and Gardenscapes, making the Playrix signature evident in this game as well.
